International Workshop on Trade Finance operations with special focus on Bank Guarantees.
Practical workshop on best practices in Bank Guarantees in the Region, explaining current developments and issues related to bank guarantee practices and laws.
Workshop will also focus on new developments in international Bank Guarantees with particular emphasis on implementation of URDG 758 – ICC Rules for demand guarantees. Significant time will be devoted to operational issues, practical case studies, examples and open discussions on the topics covered.
This year, particular emphasis would be laid on the law and practices in Slovakia, Czech Republic, Russia, Turkey and Poland!
Seminar Language – English with no translation.

Mr. Andrle, BSc., LL.M is the Secretary to the Banking Commission of ICC Czech Republic which he regularly represents at the ICC Banking Commission meetings abroad. He chaired the working groups of ICC CR which revised translations of UCP 500, UCP 600, eUCP, ISP98, URDG 758 and other Banking Commission documents as well as Incoterms 2010 into Czech language. He has been deeply involved in the revision of UCP as a member of UCP 600 Consulting group being formed by over forty experts from all over the world. He was involved in development of URBPO as a member of the ICC Banking Commission Consulting group on BPO. Nowadays, he is a member of ICC Task Force on Guarantees, also a member of the new ICC Banking Commission Global Supply Chain Finance Forum (which recently incorporated the previously working Consulting group for Forfaiting). In years 2010-2011 he served as a member of the ICC Banking Commission Group of Technical Advisors which drafted the official ICC Banking Commission Opinions on ICC Rules. Pavel is also a Member of the Panel of Experts of ICC Documentary Instruments Dispute Resolution Expertise (DOCDEX) Services of ICC, Paris, France, and Editorial Advisory Member of Documentary Credit World (DCW). Nowadays, he is well known as an international trade finance consultant and lecturer. He has conducted trainings and consultancy services in more than 55 countries of the world. He wrote very successful book on “Examination of documents under Documentary Credits”.
Eva Zezulová - Head of Trade Finance & Factoring Depart., OTP Banka Slovensko
Eva has 25+ year track record in Trade&Export Finance, working on different position in Trade Finance banking industry in international banking groups. Since October 2016 she is heading Trade Finance Department and Factoring in OTP Banka Slovensko belonging to hungarian based OTP Group. Eva holds an Eng degree from Faculty of Trade at Economy University in Bratislava, Slovakia. She also holds several certificates of advanced training in Trade Finance and Bank Guarantees from Institute of Banking Education of National bank of Slovakia, Bank Akademie Germany and Barclays bank PLC TF training centrum. She is a frequent trainee at Trade & Export finance and Bank Guarantees area at Chamber of Commerce Slovakia, Institute of Banking Education Slovakia and Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency as well as presenter at trade finance conferencies. Few times she also participated as an advisor for international trade with Middle East countries at official government delegations of SR on government official invitation.
Elena Medvedeva - Director for Trade Finance and Guarantees of AO Raiffeisenbank, Moscow
Over the past 25 years, she has worked with different trade finance instruments with the main focus on domestic and internatiobal guarantees. She has a degree in Economics from the Lomonosov Moscow State University. Before joining Raiffeisenbank for the first time in 1998 Elena worked for one of the Russian banks, where she held a number of different positions in documentary business area. Between 2006 and 2011 she headed trade finance business in Swedbank, Moscow. In January 2013 Elena joined the Raiffeisen team again from Merrill Lynch CIS, where she was responsible for trade finance operations from 2011 until the end of 2012. In January 2014 Elena was nominated as member of the International Chamber of Commerce Russia Guarantee Task Force. Being a member of ICC Russia Elena has been involved in the elaboration of proposals for improving Russian legislation on independent guarantees and its practical application.
Gülcan Yılmaz - Surety & Guarantee Commercial Underwriter - Executive, Euler Hermes Sigorta A.Ş., Istanbul
She is a Commercial Underwritter in Euler Hermes Sigorta A.S. and she has been at Euler Hermes Sigorta A.S. since 2014 where she is responsible for Surety and Guarantee prducts. She holds CDCS and CSDG certificates. Before joining Euler Hermes, she has spent 15 years in the Banking Sector, working for HSBC Bank, ODEA Bank (BANK AUDI Group), Deniz Bank (SBER BANK Group) in Trade Finance Departments. She also delivers trainings and seminers about surety and guarantee product for TSEV (Turkish Insurance Training Foundation) and ICC Turkey.
Dr. Mikołaj Goss, Euler Hermes, Poland
Mikołaj Goss has been advising since 2009 for guarantee business companies (insurance market) and trade insurance in Poland. Joins his broad experience and expertise in insurance&construction law with a solid dispute resolution background obtained either as an attorney-at-law and a commercial arbitrator. He successfully represented in numerous Court cases related with guarantee’s, including those of the highest priority and value. Graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of Warsaw University and was admitted to Warsaw Bar Association. Has successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis concerning selected aspects of administrative law. A long-term experience as an academic lecturer at Warsaw University of Technology. Is an author of numerous public law publications, particularly relating to energy law as well as oil and gas law. His scientific interests focus on market role and activity of various regulatory bodies.
Andrzej Puta - Dyrektor Biura Gwarancji Ubezpieczeniowych, Head of Surety & Guarantee, Euler Hermes, Poland
Expert with over 20 year’s experience in transaction banking with specialty in trade finance. Since 2015 with Euler Hermes SA responsible for the Surety & Guarantee business in Poland. Before with HSBC since 2013 Head of Trade & Receivables Finance. Professional experience in banking on a number of different positions in retail and corporate segment working in major Polish banks and subsidiaries of leading European financial institutions. Graduate of economic studies (faculty: finance & banking) and of postgraduate studies in economic law. Graduated from a number of trainings and specialist seminars dedicated to transaction banking and other banking-related areas (i.e. Advanced Structured Trade Finance in Hong Kong, Global Commodities Finance in Geneva, Documentary Operations in Brussels or Financial Analysis in Budapest). Actively contribution in shaping the Polish trade finance market through spreading the knowledge about trade finance in press publications and speaking at local and international conferences dedicated to this topic.
